Swan Delta Conference 2019 - The 12th Southern Hemisphere Swan Delta Conference on the teaching and learning of undergraduate mathematics and statistics.

Prof. Chris Matthews attended the conference and delivered a keynote address Teaching Culture = Deep Learning.

24-26 September 2019, STEM Camp, Rathmines, NSW

ATSIMA in collaboration with NSW AECG Inc. and Department of Education, Connected Communities NSW presented workshops at Rathmines, NSW from 24-26 September  2019. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from year 5 -11 participated in STEM workshops on Sounds of the Deep, Dreamtime Maths, Drones, Cultural Yarning, String Art and Maths, Boomerangles and Corroboree Equations.

ATSIMA in collaboration with NSW AECG Inc. and Department of Education, Connected Communities NSW are presenting workshops at Lake Burrendong, NSW from 26 -28 August 2019. 25-30 August Yirrkala School, North East Arnhem Land, NT

Prof. Chris Matthews travelled to Yirrkala to work with teachers and students at Yirrkala School. Planning continued for the ATSIMA 2020 conference with the local committee, an ATSIMA conference not to miss!

Prof. Chris Matthews was part of a panel discussion and workshop around 'Indigenous Pedagogies in Science' at the ACDS Teaching and Learning Conference.

ATSIMA hosted a presenter gathering for the AECG NSW STEM camps. The purpose of the gathering was to bring together presenters to connect with other, share ideas, look for synergies and further ideas to improve presentations at camps.
