Doctoral thesis - Dr Caty Morris: Responsive mathematics pedagogy with urban and regional Aboriginal learners.
Dr Caty Morris' research explores, explains and critiques a way of viewing mathematics pedagogy with urban and regional Aboriginal learners through a transdisciplinary case study approach. Caty ‘provides a critique of the ideas and the content of what is going to be learned’ (Alrø & Skovsmose 2004,p.255) and a cultural artefact of thelearning. The five chapters develop and build on the concept of responsive mathematics pedagogy and the notion of activism in mathematics education. Click here to view the thesis.
